Approved

Two days ago, on Friday 20th 2009, we got the approval from the bank for the loan. This means the actual construction will now start within the next few days, so check back frequently to know what's going on.
The weeks before we spent twice 4 hours at the studio to pick out all items, from wood in the kitchen to doorknobs in the bathroom. We never knew there are so many options but we managed to find a lot of nice things. Then we had to go home and cut the list by half to not jeopardize the appraisal of the home - this was the rather complicated and challenging process. But we also managed to do this and when we went back the second time we were able to already finalize everything.
We are now looking forward to the exciting start of the construction and will start planning all other items around the house, mainly the yard that is.

Am Freitag den 20.11.2009 wurde unser Kredit von der Bank genehmigt und wir koennen nun in die 1. Bauphase uebergehen. Also muesst ihr nun oefter vorbeischauen um auch ja nichts zu verpassen - bauen geht hier sehr schnell.
In den letzten Wochen waren wir zweimal in dem Studio gewesen, jeweils fuer 4 Stunden, um alle moeglichen Details auszusuchen. Von Holz in der Kueche ueber Teppich bis zu Tuerknoepfen im Bad. Nach dem ersten Besuch hatten wir eine schoene lange Liste die wir dann um die Haelfte kuerzen mussten weil die Bank nur einen gewissen Prozentsatz an 'Schnick-Schnack' finanziert. der 2. Besuch war dann auch der letzte und wir haben diesen Prozess erfolgreich abgeschlossen.
Nun geht es mit der Planung des Gartens, etc weiter, das sind Dinge die wir auf eigene Faust planen muessen.
